What to Wear for Archery: Dress for Success on the Range!

Whether you’re heading to practice, a lesson, or a competition, wearing the right attire is key to comfort, safety, and performance. Here’s what you should keep in mind when dressing for archery:

Fitted Clothing – Loose or baggy shirts and jackets can get caught in the bowstring. Opt for fitted, athletic wear that allows for full range of motion.

Closed-Toe Shoes – No sandals or flip-flops! Wear sturdy shoes like sneakers or boots to protect your feet and provide stability.

Hair Tied Back – If you have long hair, keep it secured in a ponytail or bun to prevent it from interfering with your shot.

Minimal Jewelry – Avoid dangling earrings, long necklaces, or anything that might get caught in your equipment.

No Hoodies or Excess Layers – Hoods, scarves, or overly bulky layers can obstruct your form and interfere with the bowstring.

Weather-Appropriate Gear – If shooting outdoors, dress in layers, wear sun protection, and bring a rain-resistant jacket if needed.

Dressing properly ensures a distraction-free, safe, and enjoyable archery experience. See you on the range!
